Dear James family, You don't know me and I don't know you, but a friend sent me the link to your website. First, let me say my sympathy and prayers go to you and your family at this time. Know that Leah is with you foreverand always. I believe the people we love always find way back to us after they leave this world. I know this from experience. I lost my husband three years ago and know he is with me today. Please know by no means am I comparing my lose to yours. I just wanted to say as difficult as this time may be you will get through it somehow. If god brings you to it he will bring you through it. That is what I try and live by. God bless you all. Just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you and praying for you all during this heart breaking time. The outpouring of entries in the guestbook is so powerful and loving. I read them each day. The poem on the website is so beautiful. But don't worry Karen, those who love you don't want to hear "I'm fine". We know you're certainly not, my friend. When you feel like talking, let your feelings flow. Celebrate the time you had with little Leah and remember things that made you laugh and silly things she said. I still chuckle at what the Pastor said during the funeral about the two and a half hour magic show and then Leah telling him "go ahead and bless me, I'm tired". Dear Sister, You probably have no idea of the impact this website has had on many many people. You have allowed all of us to share and feel your pain, anger, hope, courage and forthrightness this past year. Everyone of us has grown in some way because of you and the strength you have shown. Leah was a very lucky girl to have a mom so caring as you. I have to say, that everyday, I look to see if you have shared once again your thoughts and feelings as I know many others do. Hello. I just want you know that I am thinking of you constantly and hoping you are surviving in your pain. I'm sure you are simply in a fog. Just hang on to each other and get through each day. That is all you have to do. Just let God in and let Him walk you along each day, one foot in front of the other. Remember that Leah is okay and safe and all better. We wish she was here with us but I guess it's better over there in heaven. So I guess we should be happy for Leah that she is there I guess. I am so sorry you have to do this. Leah's family - I am a radiation therapist in Cincinnati, OH and treated several children. I was visiting the site of a little girl I once treated and became close to and I saw Leah's name and website so I thought I would visit. I want to tell you all that I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. It is never an easy thing to watch a child and their family go through something so tragic and heartbreaking. From the patient's and their families I know, I am amazed at how strong the parents and families are. Also it is a pleasure to see the pouring of love and support from the community. Just a note to say you have many people who you may not know thinking and praying for you daily.
