Karen, I know exactly how you feel with little girls and their Easter dresses. Every year we have a photo of our daughters decked out in their Easter dresses. I just don't know how we will face it this year without Sydney. I would prefer to ignore most of the holidays but that is not fair to Margo. I just wanted to let you know that I still check in on you. Maybe someday I will have the energy to do a new post to Sydney's site...

Karen, We continue to pray for you often, practically every day. You are never far from my thoughts and prayers and I still weep for you and ask God to give you strength and comfort. I know I'll never fully grasp the magnitude of your pain, but God does. He not only watched His son die, but He also witnessed His torture. The Bible indicates that every emotion we feel He has also felt. But just as Jesus was freed from His pain and suffering after His resurrection so has Leah been freed from hers. I hope that Easter won't just be a time for sorrow but as you are reminded of Christ's resurrection you'll be able to picture her celebrating her first Easter in the arms of the One who gave us eternal life and access to heaven. Just letting you know that you're in our thoughts today and everyday. I have pictures of Leah at home and my kids talk of her and mention her so often. Most of the time it's out of the blue - my son typically thinks of her on a sunny day when he's looking up at the blue sky with just a few clouds around. I think he's going to play our "what do the clouds look like" game and then he'll mention Leah and say what a pretty angel she must be. Leah's gentle, courageous spirit lives in the souls of those children lucky enough to cross her joyful path. There is no doubt that Leah's life has changed my family, and I can only imagine how many other people are walking around with a small part of Leah in their hearts and shining brighter because of her.
