I am Donna Z's cousin, and have been following Leahs' illiness thru Rachel and Donna. I know Leah got her angel wings and is definitely resting in Jesus' arms. Karen I am so sorry. I know you will miss her dearly and I can't imagine what you are feeling at this moment. Leah is such a loved little girl and she forever will know that. She sounds like she was so happy right up until the end and was able to express that to you. That is very important. You are a very strong and courageous woman even though you say you don't have a choice. You have showed great grace and poise through this whole experience always putting Leah's needs and wishes first above your own. You were the best Mommy you could have been to her and she knew that. What a beautiful and precious gift you were given the day Leah was born and even though her life was short she has taught so many so much. I have learned so much just from reading about your daughter and the way children view life, at all costs. I only wish I would have had the opportunity to meet little Leah. Someday we will all meet again and you will be holding your baby again. Until then Jesus is holding her for you. Hold onto that thought. I hope I have given you some words of comfort and if there is ever anything I can do please let me know. I am only an hour away. I don't want you to ever feel like you are alone and even though I have no idea of what you are going through I will do whatever you need to help.
