My love and prayers go to you all as you struggle on without Leah in your life.
I came to your site through the link at Dani-Ella Jacks. I wish I had read the dos and don'ts earlier as it is hard to find the right thing to say and I'm sure at times it hasn't come out right. Take Care - I will think of Leah and Dani-Ella painting the clouds pink.

Hi Karen. I stopped in a gift shop this afternoon and saw an adorable stuffed green frog. Of course, I've been seeing a lot of them recently and I always think of Leah ... but this one was special. It was holding a heart that read "You LEAPED into my heart and have changed me forever." I think anyone touched by Leah would have to say that this is true. :) I hope that today brings some smiles your way. Thinking of all of you....hugs.

We went for haircuts on Saturday and my daughter got a purple balloon and my son a green one. Later that afternoon they released them - one for Leah and one for Justis. We think of you each day. Hugs...

Karen - it breaks my heart to hear your regret about not going to the grocery store or being on the phone. My kids and I struggle with the same thing still, 18 months after losing my husband. My 9 year old had to do a paper for school and read it in front of the class. It was entitled "if I go go anywhere, where would I go?" She said she would go back to July 8, 2004 when we brought her dad home for hospice. She said she wouldn't sleep, but rather would stay up every minute until July 15th. She said "I wouldn't have gone to the carnival for two hours. She was only 7! I tell you the same thing I tell my kids and myself -- we all did the very best we could do - and what we needed to do for the moment. Those that we loved and lost know that we loved them with all our heart -- they see us here and wish they could take away our pain. I hope the counselor helps for you and for Kylie. My thoughts and prayers are with you daily.

Thinking of all of you ... praying for Leah to send you signs that she is ok, NO, that she is better than ok, and that she understands that you were doing exactly what was needed. You were doing what any loving, wonderful mother would have done for their precious daughter in that moment. No guilt ... I hope that one day you will be blessed with a mind full of all the happy memories that you and Leah shared.

Happy Birthday Leah!
I'm so glad that you were able to have a balloon launch for her.
Christopher's birthday will be on the 19th of January so this is a rough time for us as well. To think if he had lived he would now be a young man of 29. I sit and wonder what if ALL the time.
Life certainly is not fair.
Makes no sense. And the more times I try to understand it, the less questions are answered.
And little Kylie...please give her extra hugs from me.
Karen, you and Phil hold each other tight. This is the only way Don and I manage. It's because of our stronl love and our relationship that keeps us placing one foot in front of the other. And I think that is also what keeps our little angels over our shoulders.
If that makes sense.
I stil want to take you up on the offer of a meditation class together. I'll look into it further.
Smooches and hugs sweetie.
