Karen, We are thinking of you today, just wanted to let you know this. I wish that I could help to tame your sadness, but I unfortunately cannot. Leah will help you instead. She will be on your mind constantly reminding you of her presence. I often think of how different everyone is in this world. How we were each given our own spirit which is so different from another. How we were just given our body as a shell to house this spirit. This is why I feel so strongly about angels. There is something out there that is so huge and wonderful that none of us here on earth can explain it, it is beyond our imagination. Leah is experiencing this now with all of the other little children who pass. I try to invision what it is like for her when I look up at the sky, I can only think of purity and innocence. I sure will miss her and you guys this christmas. I will think of you each and everyday over the holiday and Noah, myself, Julianne and Drew will hold you close to our hearts. Please hold on Karen to every moment, ask Leah to help you through this and she will be there. She is always there!!!!Tell Kylie and Phil that we love them. P.S. I need your address to mail you the photocopy of the charm. Love Trina

I stumbled across Leah's site today. What an absolutely stunning little girl! What piercing blue eyes that appear to stare straight into your heart. I lost my 10-year old daughter Taylor on April 30, 2004 to a brain stem glioma. I wish I could say to you that it gets easier with time but it doesn't. I have read your posts and I was deeply touched by the words and poems that you shared. Thank you for baring your broken heart to us. I can say that I know how you feel. Everyday remains a challenge. Everyday I pray, "God, thank you for Taylor. Please help me get through today." I try to keep my waivering faith intact with the hope of being reunited with her again one day. I know you have probably heard this 1000 times but I am so terribly sorry for your loss. You are right, it's just not fair. All I can offer to you is my prayers for your family. Hang in there for your husband and for Kylie. God bless you and your family this holiday season and always. Love, Amy Thorstad Taylor's Mom forever!

Karen, I cant imagine how hard the holidays are for you right now. I know just with Justis being ill, they are bittersweet (bitter - he is so sick, sweet - he is still here). I wish there were words to make things easier or to comfort you. There are simply not. I am here for you though, should you ever need me. Love Sonya m/o Justis dx3/23/05 DIPG

Hang in there, Karen. We are still praying for you and thinking about you. I think of your beautiful blue eyed Leah often. There are some beautiful sketches of children with Jesus at keatonprints.com under "they shall be comforted". Maybe you've seen them before. The stories that go with them are very touching and the parents of those children found comfort in the images of their children with Jesus. I saw them and thought of you.
