Dear Karen, I am so sorry I have not written or emailed in awhile. But dont ever think that that does not mean I ever stop thinking about you, Phil, Kylie, and of course your beautiful Angel Leah. Karen I want you to know what an inspiration you are to me, you are so strong, you hold on to what you have and you know you have to be here for Phil and Kylie. Everytime I see you write "Hug your children" It just touches my heart. I can not have children but I take care of a beautiful little 8 week old infant girl and in just 3 weeks I have grown so very attached to her and I hug her all the time and tell her how much I Love her as I do with all of the children in my life. They are such special little people. I am still looking forward to helping you with your non-profit organization when you are ready. Also my door is always open if you and Phil ever want a little night out, I would love to come play with Kylie. Your strength is amazing! I lost my child in OCtober 2004 from a brain tumor. I also belong to the PBT angels group and found your precious daughters site from there. My sons star is also at GKTW, what a wonderful place, and some day I do hope to take my older two, who came on the wish trip with Kennedy, but especially his youngest sister, who was only a couple of months old when we went. Such a magical place. I often wonder if the magic will still be there if we were to go back after our trip. Just know I am another walking this numbing after-journey with you. Dear Karen, I spoke with the friend of mine from church who directed the Laho's in their grief support. I don't want to send it through email, it is too late to call tonight. I can call you tomorrow evening after 8:00. Adam got onto to the site for me. I don't know why it wouldn't come up before, but Barney the artist called me today and he could not pull it up either. I will also call him tomorrow and see if we can get it up together. I so see why you love the picture of Leah on the cover of the site. She is absolutely beautiful. Her blue eyes are magnificent. I am now going to tuck Adam into bed and we will be praying for you, Phil and Kylie. We pray that God will give you strength to get through each day and that one day your grief will turn to joy. Ever since you mentioned that Wednesdays are particularly hard for you (the day you took off to spend time with Leah), I have chosen it to be the day that I pray even more for you (my calendar pops up a message to me every hour while I’m at work. My prayers go something this: “Good grief God, this is so hard. Please show Yourself to Karen today. Enter into her day so that she can see You, feel You, know You. Bring people into her life that will engage her in conversation about Leah, people that want to know how special Leah was, how beautiful, how much she’s missed….people that can cry with her, laugh with her, be silent with her. Give Karen strength and courage to face another day without Leah, as the days are so painful, filled with anger, sadness, questioning and despair. Please, Lord, present Yourself to her in a way that she will have no doubt that even in the midst of her sorrow and emptiness, You will see her through, until the day she can hold Leah in her arms again.” I think of you often and will continue to pray you through…..

Hi Sweetie, Just checking in with you and wanting you to know that we are ALL still here for you. Hoping to talk to you real soon. BTW I just purchased a new camera...lots of bells and whistles. Once the weather breaks, I want to come do a book for Kyliejust as I promised. With the new camera it will be beautiful!
