Karen, Phil and Kylie,
Just remember Leah is not in your past she is in your future. You will see her again. She can't come to you but you can go to her. Trust in God even when you feel you can't.
May God give you peace and comfort in the days ahead.

Karen, once again I find myself writing in your guest book. Your expressions of your pain and loss are understandingly heartfelt and I too keep your family in my prayers. I saw this locket advertisement with a place for a picture with a message to loved one's in heaven. I thought if you and Kylie might find some comfort wearing Leah's picture and having her with you always (she already is with you always).
All of you are in my prayers, God Bless you, Anne Chard

This journey of ours is so painful. Words cannot even describe the pain. I find myself yelling "why" a lot. I am the type of person that needs a reason for this...I have a very hard time accepting "it just happens". I wish I had the right words for you but I am struggling myself with these emotions. So many people blew me off because its almost a year now and I guess they think its something we get over. The truth is we miss her even more. I hope to talk to you sometime.

I was thinking about your idea of starting a foundation in Leah's name. It's a great idea. I think it would be wonderful if Kylie helped and had specific jobs. It will help her to not feel so powerless. This past July my 8 year old raised $4,500 for U of M cancer research -- she became the youngest person to raise money for U of M. She said that "doing something" helps keep her father closer to her.

Once again, thank you for sharing Karen. You provide a window to your soul in such a way that so many in the world are impacted. There are so many people thinking of Leah and praying for you, Kylie and Phil. In those darkest moments, please try to remember that. I continue praying for peace and strength to carry you through the days, one moment at a time....
