Karen- I was telling your story to a friend of mine last night and well guess what! I saw a shooting star, the very moment I was speaking of Leah. I pray that this is a sign from above. I thought I would let you know now since I have been out sick myself from work all week. You can tell Leah, that I too had to get my blood drawn today ( and after having a bone marrow biopsy myself), know that any kind of bloodwork can hurt a lot. Tell her that I am thinking of her. Have fun at Disney if I do not talk to you before the trip! Have a wonderful time! Love, Jennifer

Dear James Family - I've never had the pleasure of officially meeting any of you except Kylie, as she and my son are classmates at NCS. However, I think about your family and pray for you all often, especially Leah. I know God is an awesome God and I pray that he not only cradles you lovingly in his hand, but I pray also that his hand brings complete and quick healing to Leah. Please know there are a host of others whom you don't even know that are lifting up their eyes and prayers to our Father in Leah's behalf. Love in Christ, Stacey Robinson

Hi, My uncle is Jim Lane and he told me about Leah. I wanted to forward some info about a clinic in Mexico that I have been told about by people who have gone there and been cured of cancer. Information about the Biomedical Center (Hoxsey Clinic) can be found at www.industryinet.com/~ruby/hoxseycancer.html. The clinic's U.S. phone number is (706) 684-9011 and contact person is Mildred Nelson at PO box 727, Tiajuana, B.C., Mexico (actual address 611 General Ferreira Ave.) Please look into this clinic. I know a few people that have gone there, one is currently being treated for prostate cancer and the tumor is shrinking. Please also check out the above website address for an excellent articel about the clinic. If you have any questions, please e-mail me at Rbruzdzinski@netzero.net. Good luck to Leah! Robin

I am so saddened by your story. I am a good friend of Allie's family and Sandy directed me to your web site. I cannot walk directly in your shoes but I have lost loved ones in my life...both of my parents at a very young age. I think that having an ill child is completely different and you cannot compare but I just want to share something that my husband and I are trying to do with our time. We are video recording interviews of our life based on a book called "To our children's children." You can order it at Boarder's and we have also started interviewing our children. It is really been a great way to spend family time and what a special legacy we are creating. I know I have also seen interveiw techniques and questions for children...I saw one in the Metro Parent a few months ago ( you could probably call them and they would send it to you) and Family Fun magazine. I will be thinking of you ...try to hang in there and we will pray for your sweet Leah. Laura

My dear loved ones - you are in my thoughts and prayers constantly, as are so very many, many people I know, friends, family and people I have just met - as far away as Poland. I met the woman, Maria, who took our petition to the homeland of St. Faustina, who promotes the image of Divine Mercy. Maria has all the nuns there praying daily for Leah and all of you. At the bottom of the picture of Divine Mercy are the words "Jesus, I trust in you" - and this is what we do. The song that I wanted our choir director to sing at the fundraiser (but he was unable to because of laryngitis)goes like this "I believe in the sun, even when it isn't shining. I believe in love, even when there's no one there - and I believe in God, even when he is silent. I believe in miracles, I believe in light, I believe there can always be a way. I believe that nothing is impossible, that all things are possible with God" And that says it all...Dad and I love you all with all our hearts. Mom

Karen- I just read your latest entry from yesterday. In speaking to you the amount of times we have, I have come to relaize that you are much stronger that you think. I continue to say a little prayer for Leah every time I finish my calls with you, and those prayers continue thru the day. Please let me know if there are any fundraisers coming up soon. I would love to participate, and try to get some more people involved from work also, to help contribute. Your family is always on my mind. I hope my work has at least helped you to know what your options are for the future. I can only hope that the things I do may somehow help you become a little more at ease. I would do anything to make your family's life a little easier. You will be in my prayer's this weekend, and always. Jennifer Corbett ( FORD NESC )
