Dear James Family, Our prayers are with you. After my son Robbie was diagnosed with diabetes, he learned a song stating: "GOD WILL MAKE A WAY WHEN THERE SEEMS TO BE NO WAY, HE WORKS IN WAYS WE CANNOT SEE, HE WILL MAKE A WAY FOR ME. My prayer for you is that you now honor her by celebrating her life, and not become lost in your mourning for her. She is waiting for you, I pray you do not turn from God and faith in your anger and sorrow. You did a job well done... for her own words spoke it "my heart is happy". Someone else I knew who lost their three yr. old told me they had peace in knowing they WILL see her someday, and had she stayed earthbound, she may have someday been drawn away from the Lord... and they would be separated for eternity. The pastor at the service said that she has now has begun to really live; a life that we all aspire to have someday, the promise we have in God. We are the ones who are sleeping... for this life is temporal. Though the days ahead are going to be emptier and not as bright, the time you will spend apart from her will seem like the blink of an eye to the time when you will be together again. Just always remember that she's in heaven helping you now and she'll always be with you. You will see her again in heaven just like my mom who lost my sister Rosie at 4 months and has to remember the good times. A friend sent this to me and we will remember her at our hope realy for life.

I woke up this morning inspired by the last two days of Leah's life. It has been hard for me to write lately. Today I feel more at peace I guess. On behalf of our entire family, I want to thank all of the wonderful people who have phoned, written, and prayed for us. The following poem is not only dedicated to Leah, but to everyone who has been touched by her life.
