You've hit it on the nose when you say "kids are so resilient". They truly are. My sisters consistantly ask about you and your family. I can't believe a year has gone by since this nightmare began. You guys have become the focus of so much bittersweetness. The love and caring pour from the pages. It is inspirational. I say my prayers everyday on the way to work and before I go to sleep. It has taken me a life time to realize that prayer often draws the line between hope and faith. I have learned to walk the line constantly these last months. I was looking through pictures the other day and found a picture of Leah and I at Christmas time. She is about two years old...and so am I. Ha. I have my stupid Santa hat on and she looks so dignified compared to me. Leah has always been a rather shy, quiet and wise soul. She also is one of my biggest fans. It has been nice having you all over swimming etc. I hope we are a relaxing, intoxicating diversion. We love you all... Karen, I can't thank you enough for your beautiful entries lately that have touched me so deeply. I am blessed to have four healthy children --at least for today. I try every day, thanks to your inspiration, to tell them how happy I am to be their Mommy. I have always tried to look at my children as a loan from God, because ultimately they are His children.
