I work at ECC and have kept up with Leah's updates. I will continue to pray for the strength needed for her family during this somber time. I feel as if I've known Leah. Maybe just in our internet paths crossing do I feel this connection, but she's definitely touched my heart.

I've spent a good hour reading all the entries in the guestbook, and still haven't gone through all of them. To anyone reading this who is angry over losing our precious Leah, these wonderful words of sympathy and caring prove that good came out of this terrible tragedy. Our hearts are so very heavy at this time, but I so treasure this last year of really getting to know our granddaughter. We had so many good times, playing games and talking etc. I am so blessed to be her grandmother and thank God for Father John who pointed out that we have our very own saint in heaven - Saint Leah. We will be keeping her very busy praying for all our intentions on earth.
Many times these past few weeks I have had a picture in my mind of Leah with her arms around the legs of Jesus, looking up at Him and smiling. He then smiling too picks her up and hugs her and she wraps her arms around his neck with her head on His shoulder, smiling from ear to ear. I see the Blessed Mother standing next to them with her arms around the two of them. I know in my heart that she is completely happy in her own heart - that expression she used so much was God-given. I ask her now to pray for her mommy, daddy, sister and all of us who will miss her so much, but are comforted that we will feel her presence now and be with her in heaven someday. God love you all who have been there for my precious son and his loving wife and daughter. Please continue to pray for them.

My heart goes out to everyone that felt her presence/ She was such an Angel an every way/ Although I never got the honor to meet such an amazing person to walk this Earth/ I felt I knew her in my heart/ Some one so small and so young touched so many hearts/ in such a short time/ A girl who understood a lot more then what people knew/ She was an Angel/ That God loved so much/ He wanted her back/ Her bright blue eyes showed such a story/ of love and honor to be here for such a time/ This little angel knew that she must say her goodbyes/ And she fought her hardest to stay as long as she could/ But when she thought in her heart/ She knew it was time to let go/ This little angel received her wings on August third, 2005./ She heard the Bell in her heart and knew what to do/ Leah now fly’s in the sky looking out for all the people who ounce looked out for her/ if you look to the sky/ you will feel her sprit/ Only God knows why he choose such an angle to come back to heaven.

May god be with you and your family and friends in the time of need.
I have contacted the Pastor at my church and asked that he add her to the prayer list at my church for this Sunday.
I do not personally know anyone in your family. However I too work at Ford Motor Company. If there is anything I can do (provide you a meal, offer a hug, a shoulder to cry on, send a gift, donate some money in your daughters name or anything else) please let me know.
All our Love,
Robert and Amy Sawyer

I am so glad that Leah was at peace and lying in the arms of her mommy and daddy. Her bright blue eyes and her sassy smile captured my heart and the hearts of many others. Is there an address where those who knew Leah through this website can send cards or other things? All of you were the best family to Leah and that is the greatest gift of all. Wishes for peace and comfort in the days ahead

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you all. It is so hard to lose someone so dear, but try to take comfort (eventually) knowing that Leah is in a better place. Her pain is gone, and she is at peace. Although I only met you and your family once (at the fundraiser), you have been in my thoughts and prayers ever since, and will continue to be. You are strong and courageous people whom I admire very much. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
