Karen, Thank you so much for continuing to share your thoughts and feelings. The most recent message of your family's wishes is helpful as it is so hard to know what to say. Words won't take away your pain but know that so many people care deeply about you, Phil, and Kylie. Leah changed so many people and she continues to do that when you relay experiences such as the one about the miracle frog. Angel Leah is in our hearts and minds forever. Your generosity in sharing your daughter with us is beyond compare. Thank you, thank you. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family every single day as you strive to deal with the void that now exists.

Karen, Thank you for posting the bereaved parents wish list. It will help so many people. I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for your letter to me. I am truly blessed to have people like you in my life. Thank you seems so inadequate. Yesterday during a crying spell I was curled up on the couch and feeling just a little "desperate"...my husband, my rock, walked in from the back yard and walked up to me with his hand cupped closed. He sat down next to me on the couch and said " I think a little angel sent something for you to make you feel better"...with that he placed a baby frog in my hands.........I was so moved! Karen, I took a photo of this beautiful little creature in my hand and I will have it developed and framed...it will be delivered to you. I "BELIEVE" that Leah saw that my "har" was torn apart and wanted to make "my har happy", so she sent the frog. Thank you Leah, my special little friend. I am blessed. -Lauren

Karen, I wanted to share this with you...this past weekend, my kids were begging me to let them set up a lemonade stand. All morning the weather had been overcast and rainy. Finally I gave in and said yes. They were thrilled! My 7 yr old daughter and her friend got a big poster board and made the sign. When I came out and read it, I was so touched. They wrote "Lemonade for Sale. .25/cup. All money will go to Childrens Hospital. For Leah." Then my daughter said "we want to give the money for all the kids that have to spend a lot of their days at the hospital, like Leah." Karen, I want you to know that Leah was with us then because no sooner did those words come out of her mouth and the rain stopped, the clouds parted and sun and blue sky were all you could see! Then, a neighbor down the street opened her doors and started a garage sale! The kids LITERALLY had a line for their lemonade. Within 3 hours, they made $35! All "For Leah". They plan to have another one next weekend...I'll have to go to the store for more lemonade! I want you to know that we think of you and Leah every single day. I pray for peace in your heart and strength to carry you through the days, one moment at a time.

I think of you every day, and appreciate that you are still typing and letting us know your thoughts and fears, and tears. Your notes with stories and suggestions on what to say or do are helpful. I will not hesitate to say Leah's name in your presence or think that in 6 mos. you will be fine. Mike and I are terribly sorry not to have been at the funeral home to give you support. We were in Seattle. The stories of the firemen, and all of the love and support are so powerful to hear, I can't imagine how you were feeling. You can be proud of your kids, and yourselves for being who you are, and making so many good memories in the time you were able. Love spreads and gives more love to more people. That is certainly one strong aspect of many, that Leah shared with us, spreading love. Thank you for letting so many people into your life... God Bless You, Patty

Karen, Phil and Kylie I wanted to let you know that at our house you are in our thoughts, today and everyday. We think of Leah often and talk of her even more. I have to tell you a very sweet story that brought tears to my eyes. My dad had a stray cat at his house that he did not want. Julianne fell in love with this cat and we decided to bring her home. She was out in the garage playing with her this morning and came into the house all excited. She said mom "I have a great idea, I have decided to name the cat Leah." She then said that "everytime I call her that she comes to me." The next thing that she said was the sweetest thing I have ever heard. She said "Mom, I know that Leah is smiling from the sky because I named my kitty Leah." My first thought was how innocent she is and her doing this was just that innocent. The thing is that we had not talked of Leah yet today but she was in Juliannes thoughts. I thought that this might make you smile like it did me. We would like to come and visit you guys. We are free over labor day weekend. Please call us if you can squeeze us in. Miss all of you. Tell kylie we said HEEELLLOOO!! Trina, Noah, Julianne and Drew
