Karen you are so brave and putting on such a brave face. I know you must be crushed inside but Leah is not seeing that I don't think. Good for you. You have amazing inner strength, though I guess what choice do you have. Happy birthday by the way. Mine is tomorrow, we are pretty close. Leah sounds so happy and you sound much better as well. I think from following your daughters story and all the other stories linked to hers I have new thoughts on things. I think about you and your daughter many times a day and am so sad for you. At the same time it makes me appreciate the fact that my four are healthy. I had a very sick baby with one of my children but I thank God he was able to be healed. He had a condition that threatened his life every day but there was treatment for him, we just had to buy him time. It was a horrible time and full of fear and anxiety. I never slept for the fear he wouldn't be here when I woke up. I never realized how good I had it. His condition was curable and he survived it. I pray every day for Leah's miracle and I believe it is just around the corner. She is such a strong beautiful little girl. Good things are to come for her, she is very special. God bless you all. The bar in the bathroom is a great idea. Your daughter is very smart, she's a problem solver. My Rachel was always thinking of ways to make things easier. So smart. Our kids have a way of reassuring us. We get our strength from them. They are brave, strong, never complain...real heros. We learn so much from them. I wanted to tell you that you are doing an amazing job. You are giving Leah her independence, which is hard at times for us parents. I remember that I had wanted to help Rachel with everything and she got angry. She wanted to do things by herself. So I let her and she was happier that way. You are doing all the right things.

Karen, Just a quick suggestion. We used our jogging stroller for Troy. It is a more roomy than a regular stroller and has more leg space. Thinking of you always. Nadine (Troy's mommy forever)
