Karen,Phil, Leah and Kiley, I am so sorry to hear the bad news. I will pray that the polymva will work. I can't imagine what you are going through. Noah and I and the kids went to the cross in the woods up in indian river and prayed for leah. We lit candles and prayed to the patron saint of cancer patients and the patron saint of sick children. Even Julianne said a special prayer. I hope that God heard us. We think of you every day and we want to be their for you all in any way we can. Remember whats family for if not to get you through the worst times of your life. I bought you something from the gift shop at the cross in the woods and you will be getting it soon in the mail. Please remember to call me if you need something. I know that you phone probably rings of the wall but just know to call. May God Bless Leah in this time of need. Love you so much baby girl!!!! I hate cancer too! It takes too many people, way too early - it just is not fair! I want to let you know that your entire family is in my thoughts and prayers every day. Leah has made such an impression on Emily (and me for that matter). I am glad that they had the opportunity to become such good friends at St. Mary's and create such wonderful memories that Emily will remember for ever! Oh Karen I am so sorry for what you are going through. I cannot even begin to imagine what you are going through. I know the feeling of a sick child who may die but not one that is dying. I am just crying right along with you every step of the way. I just want you to know that. I am a nurse and if you ever need anything nurse wise I am only an hour away. I have been a nurse for 10 yrs and am a mother of four little kids. I will do whatever I can to help you if you need it. If you need a break with Kylie or you need help with Leah just let me know. I have worked with a lot of cancer patients and some young, just not as young as Leah. Go to California and you make those memories. Get as many as you can. I also do photography work out of my home and on location. If you want any of those services I will be happy to do some pictures for you for free. I love to do outdoor because I prefer the natural lighting but I can do indoor as well. Please let me know if I can help in any way. Don't be afraid to reach out to people in this time, even to people you really don't know. I am praying every day for you and I have no words of comfort because I know nothing can comfort you right now and I don't want to appear like I know what you are feeling. I have no idea. Somehow God will give you the strength to make it through. You won't feel better for a long time and may not be happy for a while but you will make it through this.
