Dear Karen,
I am so sorry you lost your beautiful daughter to this beast. My son has been battling a brain tumor for 4 years now. We just learned he will need a 3rd surgery.
It is too hard to see your child suffer.
I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
God bless,
Andrea

Karen,
You do not know me or my family but we have been praying for Leah and your family for over a year and we continue to as you are walking this journey. My heart has been touched by your courage, I have read your entries and have been so moved at how you are in pain but know you must continue for kylie, your husband and especially Leah, for that beautiful sparkle to continue to shine.Leah has touched more lives than many adults ever could, she has brought courage and love to people you will never begin to count. Nobody has the answers and the anger must well up beause of the "whys" yet I feel so strongly that God has one hand around you and holding Leah's hand with the other. Karen I am the type of person that would love to take a hurting persons pain away, I wish I could for you but I can't but I hope I bring a bit of light and encouragement into your day because you are strong and I was so touched at how you signed the last entry "kylie and Leahs mommy forever" How proud and blessed you must feel to be the mommy of 2 very special girls, one who needs your love here on earth and one who is waiting for you in heaven that you will love for an eternaty. God bless you and your family and continue to seek his guidence for the hours that seem too long and remember there are people that are blanketing you and your family in prayer.

Dear Phil, Karen, and Kylie,
As I check in on your website and read your guestbook and messages from time to time, "My har is happy" to read how many people love your family. We will never forget and have you in our thoughts and prayers daily. I was especially moved today to read entry 1603. There is something I have been thinking about over and over again since the day that Father John spoke at the cemetary and I want to share my thoughts with both of you. When Father John mentioned the story of the woman who gave him the rosarys to give to both of you after he had asked for a sign, I believed then and I still believe today that.....Leah wants you both to know that the closest you will feel to her on earth is when you use the Rosarys that were given and become close to "Our Mother" because "Our Mother" holds Leah in her arms and will hold all of you in her arms too. Love, Annette

Dear Karen, Phil and Kylie,
You do not leave our thoughts. Our prayers continue for you and for Leah, that you may know peace until you meet again. As hard as it may seem, Leah is more alive now than all of us. She is past the valley of darkness, and you are left to only look upon it now, from a distance. Life as we know it is meaningless unless there is eternal life beyond this. It took me many years to come to this conviction, with the help of holy priests, Christian friends, Sacred Scripture, the study of my faith, and experiencing the death of many loved ones now, including the four little miracles of life we lost. Their little souls are in heaven also. As I look upon life now, I realize that these little miracles are not really our own to keep. We are given a time, for as little or long of time, and must to let them go. They may be near or far away, but they will always be ours and we will always be their family. We are the ones who shared with the Lord, the creation of their soul and body. This bond will never die.
Leah would want you to share in the glory of the sunrises and sunsets. She is seeing them and wants you to see them too.
And keep your eye out for frogs. As I was reminded, FROG means to "fully rely on God". Isn't that the truth? It all comes down to that.
Love to you.
