Hi Karen, Phil and Kylie, you're in my thoughts and prayers everyday. I pray for you to find peace and comfort. And to make it through each day. I can't tell you how deeply moving your journal is to me. Thank-you for your honest sharing. My favorite memory of Leah is: one day early last year Leah and Katie were dressed up in veils,long dresses and high heels. They were dancing in each others arms and Leah's laughter was infectious. She was giggling loud for a long time. Those are the giggles I recall when I think of her. So sweet and precious. You guys take care, hugs all around. Kylie, maybe we'll see you over your Christmas vacation. We sure could use your help at the center...

I've been praying for you all day today. I set my calendar to remind me every 30 minutes, as I know that Wednesday's are especially hard. My prayer is that you'll feel God's presence in a powerful way, that you'll know without a doubt that He is walking you through your sadness and pain and that He will comfort you as only He can. I've prayed that you will be real with God as you are with those of us reading your journal entries. Scream, shout, cry, question Him...just keep talking to Him. Karen, I lit a candle for Leah on Sunday at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York near the beautiful statue of St. Rose of Lima.
