Hey Guys- Nathan and Sammie have finally gotten use to new prayers this last week or so. For a long time they were praying FOR Leah, and now they are asking for Leah to pray FOR them. When I reminded Nate that he should talk to Leah every night, he told me that he does it during the daytime "all to himself". Makes me smile and makes me sad at the same time. I hope it gives you some sense of comfort to know that Leah is with her cousins constantly, and that she left a profound impact on them--and ofcourse all of us. There is so much going on in the world--so much war and tragedy etc but all our focus is on the loss close to home. Our prayers are with the world, but our hearts are with you. She will never be forgotten. We love you guys.

Karen, Phil and Kylie-- I just returned from vacation in South Carolina, and then a quick overnight stay in Savannah, GA. I have to tell you that I saw so many stuffed animals there in the stores and gift shops. I really was thinking of Leah, and the little dog I bought for her as a gift last year. I was with my boyfriend, and was telling him how all of the toys reminded me of Leah. I thought it was odd that there were SO MANY STUFFED FROGS--SERIOUSLY, AT EVERY SINGLE STORE! Especially at the Mercer House ( the one from the movie "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil"). I thought maybe there was some old Civil War or ghost story that I wasn't aware of or something. I kept saying to my boyfriend, "what is the deal with all of the frogs, isn't it odd"? Well, of course when I returned, I wanted to check the site to see how you were doing. Reading your journal entry, I realized that Leah was all around me. I have to say, that a day does not go by that I do not think of her, and pray for her. I think those frogs were little signs of her. I remember picking one up in particular, and actully thinking that I would have probably bought it for Leah. How odd, now that I know her frog story. You are always on my mind, in my heart, and in my prayers. Love, Jennifer

My deepest sympathy to you all. I know your pain, my son is layed to rest not far from Leah in Parkview. I am there a lot to keep his plant watered, today is his Birthday, it was a hard day for me. I check her plant to see if it needs water, as I do others. He passed May 11, 2004. Your 2 poems sure expressed it best. Thank you for sharing it with us all, and this beautiful website about your very courageous little girl and her loving family. May God keep His loving arms around you all, and ease your pain as only He can.

I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY I said a prayer for the family today, And I know God must have heard me. I felt the answer in my heart, Although he spoke no word to me! I didn't ask for wealth or fame, as I knew you wouldn't mind. I asked for that he be near your family, at the start of each new day. To grant you love, peace, and blessings to help heal your broken hearts! I asked for love to surround the family in all things great ans small, But mostly for his loving care as right now the family needs that most of all!!
