Karen, I am writing this to a mother from a mother. You have tought me so much this past year. You have shown me and so many what it is to fight for your children and never ever give up. You made me want to hug my family every moment that I could. You have changed so many peoples lives this year with your powerful and inspirational updates. You may not see this as we do but you tought us to hope and believe and to give until we cannot give anymore. To lose a child I cannot fathom, but to parent a child you have tought me well. You gave Leah the moon and the stars and everything in between and she will always know this. Please live with the thought that you fought for her life with everything that you had, never second guess yourself. Know that it was you and Phil and Kylie who made her heart happy. You made her who she was and who she will live on to be. How blessed you were to have her and how honored we are to have known her. To know her is to love her. To have her as your angel is to be the luckiest people in the world. Please Believe and when you least expect it she will come to you and show you her eternal joy in everlasting life. I have been thinking of you and your family a lot. It really isn't fair what happened to our girls. I try to imagine Rachel playing in Heaven with all her Angel friends, the nicest friends to have. I have been told that time in Heaven is different than time here on earth. I remember a day or two before Rachel went to Heaven, I had asked her if she could do anything, what would she like to do....she said play Duck Duck Goose with her friends. So now I imagine Rachel playing duck duck goose when I get there and although it will feel like years to me, to her it will feel like a minute. I will want to hug her and she will say "in a minute mom, I'm playing with my friends." Now when I think of Rachel's Angel friends, I think of Leah, one of her nicest friends.
