I am so sorry about your loss. The main thing to remember is to keep on living. This poem helped me through my hard times, hopefully it will help you too: When you walk through a storm Hold your head up high And don't be afraid of the dark At the end of a storm is a golden sky And the sweet silver song of a lark Walk on through the wind Walk on through the rain Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone You'll never walk alone God bless your family, and please don't forget that you still have another daughter that needs your love, now more than ever. My thoughts are with you.

Phil & Karen, Thank you for having me as Leah's Godmother. What a honor. It seems like just yesterday that I held her in my arms at her Christening. She has always been so sweet but, her personality really bloomed this last year. What a joy! Always giggling and cracking jokes! The positive attitude that she had is due to your parenting. She is as lucky having you as you having her. Kylie, your sister will always be there looking out for you! You are so lucky having such a sweet little sister & she's just as lucky having a great big sister! Love you all very much! Jo

While heaven has gained one absolutely adorable angel, her absence leaves those who knew her, and even those who never met her, with a heavy heart. Those sparkling eyes from her picture clearly show a precious individual, and I deliberately did not say "sorry for your loss" because that sparkle will always be in your heart, you'll never lose that. I hope your moments of pain gradually give way to some moments of peace, and you find the strength to get through, minute by minute. Wish we were there to hug you, we are certainly thinking about you and sending long distance prayers.

Karen, Phil and Kylie, My grandma had a son that died when he was eleven and she told me once that we should be sad at birth and be happy death. I have always been afraid of death so I chose not to think of what she said. When Leah got sick, I remembered what she said and I thought that to live on earth is a blessing but what some individuals have to go through is beyond comprehension, but to be at peace and free what a feeling that must be for her. I honestly do feel that she is happy now, and oddly enough I am not afraid of death anymore. To know Leah was to love her, so soft and gentle a personality. You both are such wonderful parents and she was so blessed to have you help her through her journey, for she could not have done this without you. You gave her the best quality of life and lived up to your promise of doing everything that you could. She is smiling down on you and is in your house, you can't see her but she is there. My grandpa came to my dad after his death and told him something very special and to this day dad will tell us that it was personal but it made him feel better. Watch for the signs because she is there. Kylie will need everyone sooo much and I feel for her, it has to be so hard to express your feelings at this age. I know that the three of you together will be each others rock and attempt to build a stairway that will lead you to peace. Julianne has said that she wants to see Kylie to make her better. Julianne is having a hard time with what death is and how Leah could turn into an angel. I have told her it is because she was so special that she earned her wings and that she will now be watching over all that cared for her. I wish that Noah and I could have been here to say goodbye to her at the hospital, to tell her that her cousins loved her and that she will always be in our thoughts and our hearts. We cried for her around that campfire and prayed for God to care for her like that angel of grace that she is. Just seeing how she handled this illness with strength and courage made our hearts happy!!! We will see you at the funeral home, if there is anything that you need, anything, and I do mean it, please call and let me know. May God bless angel Leah in heavan and may we thank him for the opportunity of knowing her for it made our lives special. Love to all, Trina, Noah, Julianne and Drew
